A-188 Starting Well: Creating Training Opportunities for Graduate Students Interested in Neuropsychological Assessment

Abstract Objective Practicum experiences are critical to internship readiness. While established guidelines for practicum training in clinical neuropsychology exist, the application of such across sites has received little attention. The objective this study is compare models different sites. Methods We surveyed supervisors regarding cost and benefit students their setting. Results Despite wide variability settings, results indicated that on average, spent around 6 hours per week direct active onboarding during first 1–3 months year. After 3–4 months, supervision decreased about 1–2 individual group week. By 8th month, each student provided clinic with approximately 36 service (considered an administrative clinic). Conclusion Training a labor love, overall net benefits clinic. An advantage was seen settings multiple trainees, trainees at levels, tiered access diverse didactic experiences.
